A fusion of backgrounds

I’m Paola, a UX designer with a background in physiotherapy and a career path that’s been anything but ordinary. After earning my Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy in Croatia, life (and a global pandemic) led me through a variety of roles — from retail and customer service to hospitality and sailing charters across the Adriatic.

These experiences taught me adaptability, problem-solving under pressure, and how to connect with people from all walks of life — skills I now bring into my design work. In 2023, I moved to Rotterdam, completed a university-level UX/UI design program, and began my career in UX.

My foundation in human anatomy, behavior, and psychology gives me a unique lens for understanding users. I design with empathy, always considering how people think, move, and interact — both online and offline.

Today, I combine a people-first mindset with a passion for creating intuitive, meaningful digital experiences, and I’m always eager to keep learning, experimenting, and growing as a designer.
